The NES of India was founded on 23 march 1978.
The aims and objectives of the society are to undertake scientific research in the areas of neuro-otology and allied sciences; to advance research pertaining to neuro-otology; to promote and monitor ethical considerations in this field.
The society also proposes to train doctors and paramedical personell for diagnosis and treatment of equilibriometric dysfunction, tinnitus, hearing loss and skull base diseases.
